Celebrate ‘the Year of Mexico in the UK’ with a concert of famous works from both countries.

The concert also features new pieces, including the world premiere of Mexican composer Federico González Orduña’s Piano Concerto.

Plus, video projections designed by Bafta-winning artist Tal Rosner accompany a performance of Thomas Adès’ Polaris.

English conductor Roy Goodman visits to work with Trinity Laban students, conducting an exciting evening programme at Blackheath Halls. The concert opens with the overture to Weber’s grand, romantic opera Euryanthe. Mozart’s lively Idomeneo Ballet Music and Beethoven’s programmatic Pastoral Symphony complete the programme.

A concert featuring two concertos: Constant Lambert’s Concerto for Piano and Nine Instruments, with its brisk, assured cosmopolitan style, and Elgar Howarth’s Concerto for Horn and Wind Band, featuring Trinity Laban horn player Jon Frank. Works by Joe Duddell and Trinity Laban composition student Will Handysides complete the programme.
